Now our virtual Art Society Programmes for 2020-21 are underway and I would like to thank the Team at Arts Society House, the Volunteers, the Chairmen and their Committees, the Lecturers and my fellow Trustees, for the dedication, imagination, creativity, and sheer hard work that has made our Virtual Arts Society such a tremendous success.
We cannot begin to know what changes the future holds for us all; but one thing that will not change is the wish for those of us who love the Arts to share that love with like minded people.
Thank you to everyone who is working hard to make this possible!
In the spirit of sharing, may I suggest you join artist and broadcaster Lachlan Goudie on a special tour of paintings in the National Gallery of Scotland that are relevant to these difficult times. The Gallery looks wonderful and he beautifully demonstrates how art can bring joy and solace in equal measures.

The Arts Society Richmond hosted a virtual walking tour of Venice this morning which other societies and individuals joined. The sun shone and our guide was wonderful. Over 720 devices watched live and we are very grateful to Florian, who is meant to be on holiday, for acquiring a Zoom licence for 1000 people for us. In the event 499 watched on Zoom and the rest on YouTube, but it was very reassuring to have the extra capacity. Wonderful support from Arts Society House as ever
